CURRENT WORK
|
This website reflects more
than twenty years of making art works. I have no problem working
between realism as I see it and abstraction to narrate a principle or
idea. What ties the work together is narrative. Many but not
all of the works are autobiographical; my interest is in linking my life
experiences to what I think are universal ones shared by the human
community.My work continues to
evolve in direct response to my environment and life experiences.
The central question of my work is "what does it mean to be human?"
What is the sum total of one's life, knowledge, observations,
perceptions? Daily we experience beauty and beast in ourselves.
We analyze our choices, our motives in them. We celebrate our
successes and despair in our mistakes; but always we push forward,
seeking the true meaning of ourselves.
